another post from my series 6318 - some more landscape... space and time 𧑠my beloved walchwil #atalefromhome #personalproject #locationandspace #portraits #people #space #visualstorytelling

6318 - overseeing one of the many nature reserves on the mountain, hidden away in the depths of the forest of the walchwilerberg. warm autumn colours are slowly incoming and lifting the spirits during the gloomy weather and colder temperatures. the serenity of this piece of land feels magical, almost as if it was taken from a children's fairytale book and brought to life. 𧑠#personalproject #6318 / c LSP 2024

yes, you guessed it. it's the 6318 relaunch β€οΈ it was about time - i cannot tell you all how excited i am for this new chapter, for this whole new book. after two years it is finally time to bring the story back to life and do it justice. there is no ending, there is so much more to tell #morethanportraits #visualstorytelling #heimat

summer in sweden 2024, a personal photograph - the remarkable, wonderful, admirable Karin. the wisest and oldest (96!) in my swedish family; i have so much love and respect for her. i would be lying if i said leaving her place after a visit is done easily and without shedding a tear or two in the car.. another year, another photograph. what an extraordinary honor. β€οΈ #personalwork #familyportraits

behind the scenes with CAITLIN H.
After completing her LLB in Global Law in 2020, Caitlin knew she wanted to continue her passion for technology, healthcare and intellectual property law. She enrolled in the LLM Law and Technology and after an LLM in Intellectual Property and Information Law said "I have been fortunate enough to attend some fantastic seminars and lectures on the intersection between these areas and I cannot wait to start working in these fields of law and developing my passions further."
Caitlin passionately continues to support the womens golf community, fighting the stigma that golf is a mens-only sport, and inspires women all over the globe through her social media platform. 2020 was the year Caitlin initiated her first fundraiser for the KWF, the Dutch Cancer Society @kwfkankerbestrijding. She went on to play a spectacular 72 holes of golf within 48h and raised 1'710 Euros. In summer 2022 Caitlin played an incredible 54 holes of golf in 24h and raised another 2'424 Euros for the KWF.
On top of that, she tirelessly worked at the VP Bank LET Ladies European Tour @letgolf, which takes part at the Golfpark Holzhäusern, in the heart of Switzerland. She worked in collaboration with the @golfpark_holzhaeusern and was responsible for contributing to their social media platforms.
This is only a small glimpse at this charistmatic young woman's efforts and accomplishments in lifting and supporting women - both in and beyond the sports community.

recent work for @forsunlovers 2022 jewellery collection by @mialexaandra π #localbusiness #femaleentrepreneurs

This was a very special moment for me. I had the honour of photographing a living legacy - my wonderful grandaunt Karin Skoog.
My father always told me that she is the clan leader, she is the glue that holds our family together, and the person everyone looks up to.
I have spent countless hours at her house as a child and as a young girl. It is a large, red, Swedish house built of wood. It lies at the edge of the harbour village and oversees the main road that leads to the village.
Each time I leave her house she will stand where she is standing in this photo, at the front of her house, smiling from ear to ear and waving. Today, she is 94 years of age and it's an honour for me to sit with her in her home and have cake and coffee together. To sit and speak about memories of my farfar/ grandparents, her husband's brother. I sit and listen with awe to her storytelling and her sharp memory. She has always been known for excellent cooking and baking skills - and her generous heart. It is an honour for me to photograph such a strong, inspiring individual who has given me so much in my life, so much to other people's lives, and to my family's legacy.
This is my portrait of home. Because that is exactly what I feel when I sit with her in her home and look out across her garden and see the ocean that surrounds the little harbour village I grew up in. I feel home. ππππΈπͺ #personalwork #portraiture

PART II, Eichhof Walchwil
it all began with Anton Hürlimann in 1904, when the young man who ran the Engel inn in the village of Walchwil fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning his own farm. he bought a farm with three houses, a fishery, a stable, a distillery and land with many cherry, plum, pear and apple trees. when the first railway tracks of the Gotthard Railway was built in 1897, the entire distillery had to be dismantled and rebuilt a few metres further down so that the tracks could be built. Anton Hürlimann was determined for the new owner, his son Kaspar Hürlimann, to continue running the distillery. years later, Kaspar handed over the business to his son Werner Hürlimann. today, the family tradition of over 110 years is in the hands of Peter Hürlimann and the farm is known as "Eichhof". since 2018, Peter Hürlimann has been the master distiller, but continues to be supported by his father Werner.
π₯π₯π
Eichhof won gold for its Walchwiler Williams at the Distisuisse 2021/2022 Swiss National Distilled Spirits Awards. they also won silver for their Vieille Poire Williams and are also the overall winner in the Williams category.
i had the honour of meeting both Peter Hürlimann and his father Werner Hürlimann, who is pictured in this portrait. i could hear the quiet bubbling of the machines on the floor below us as Peter and I carefully walked up the old, dark staircase to the second floor of the distillery. all around us were beautiful, longstanding aging barrels. Peter stood on a small, wooden ladder at the back of the room and would have been swallowed up by the shadows of the dim wooden building walls if a beam of light hadn't shone down from the tiny skylight above Peter's head. the room held a very special atmosphere as it was filled with warmth and light. it almost felt as if the spirits from the past 110 years of the family tradition were present and watching as Peter showed me around the rooms and payed homage to his family's fruitful work.
